Citizens of the countries who are eligible for e-visas (Type A and B) have been until sofar able to receive their e-visas on their arrival to Turkey through e-visa kiosks placed at the Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

However, e-visa kiosks at Istanbul Atatürk Airport will not be transferred to the new İstanbul airport, which will be opened on 29 October 2018 and the acquisition of e-visa through usage of e-visa kiosks will not be possible after 28 October 2018.

From 29 October 2018 onwards, foreigners eligible for A and B Type e-visa are required to acquire their visas before travelling to Turkey.

E-visa applicants can obtain their visas to Turkey from the website http://www.evisa.gov.tr only in 3 minutes.

On the other hand, there will not be a change with regard to the issuance of the sticker visa at the airports and foreigners who are eligible to obtain sticker visa will continue to do so.
